We have calculated exergy and structural exergy for river Vykhoreva, Ust-Vekhoreva Bay and adjusting part of Ust-Ilim reservoir influenced by the waste waters of Bratsk Industrial Complex. The calculations were based on the samples of zoobenthos, zooplankton and phytoplankton. The results demonstrate the fall of structural exergy in the region of wastes discharge. Structural exergy gradually increases from the discharge of wastes to the river mouth. There are points of sharp increases of structural exergy, coinciding with the places when the tributaries join to the river Vykhoreva and dilute the waters. Nevertheless neither dilution, nor selfpurification can not provide the full restoration of river ecosystem and natural level of structural exergy. The waters of river, inflowing the Ust-Vykhoreva Bay influence its ecosystem. Interesting that the exergy is the maximal in the middle part of bay and the structural exergy is the minimal in the same place. It points to the damaged ecosystem. Around the Bay, the rest of studied Ust-Ilin reservoir biotopes demonstrate increase of structural exergy. The results are in good agreement with the assessment of the ecosystem state by species composition, oligochaets, tubificides and chironomides and other indices.
