Today, Alexander Arguchintsev, ISU research work pro-rector, vice-president of the Center and professor Andrei Mantsivoda, attached to ISU information system chair told about the results of their visit to Switzerland at the following REC seminar.

The purpose of the visit was to present REC "Baikal" in country’s major research centers, which study ecological problems.

Our delegation negotiated with representatives of the leading research institutes the Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology (EAWAG) and Paul Scherrer Institute, and also with the president of the largest University of Switzerland ETH (Zurich) Alexander Zehnder.

During the meeting such questions as REC "Baikal" possibilities as international center of joint research, application of interdisciplinary research work in education, co-operation of two counties students and post-graduate students, virtual preparation based on lake.baikal.ru portal and other issues have been discussed. The dialogue among scientists has shown mutual interest in Baikal study. The Swiss got very interested in REC "Baikal", having examined suggested projects and ideas and found them as new and perspective.
