LibraryNews09.03.2008 The International conference “Applied Aspects of Financing of Technology Transfer in Today’s Russia. Skills of Communication with Investors” will be held in Kazan on March 27-28, 2008. The U.S. Civilian Research & Development Foundation (CRDF), the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development and Kazan State University are conveners of this Conference. Besides review reports on possible sources of innovation funding, there are presentations on REC technologies, master-classes and trainings. The participants of the regular seminar analyzed weak and strong aspects of the Baikal-Center innovation project and introduced their own amendments in it which would be presented in Kazan. This project is aimed at developing international scientific educational tourism on Lake Baikal. It is supposed to start with the modernization of Biological Station of Irkutsk State University which is situated in Bolshiye Koty. The business-project was designed by a working group under the leadership of Oleg Arkhipkin, Professor, Chief of Chair of Commerce and Marketing, International Institute of Economics and Linguistics (IIEL). Elena Bityukova, Docent of Geographical Faculty, and Ruslan Golik, a IIEL student, will also take part in the Conference. The 2008 financial plan of REC “Baikal” was discussed and approved at the seminar.
