According to the rating of the US National Scientific Foundation, the article “Sixty years of environmental change in the world's largest freshwater lake - Lake Baikal, Siberia” by Lyubov Izmestyeva, Director of Scientific Research Institute of Biology at ISU, Head of REC Unit 3, Evgeny Zilov, Principal Research Scientist of Scientific Research Institute of Biology, Coordinator of Unit 3, and American colleagues published in “Biology of Global Changes” was the top ten among the widely read papers in 2008. This is an impressive result as the paper competed in all the scientific disciplines, including Physics, Engineering Sciences, etc.
